The observation deck of Lake Utonai, which just started operation in March, 2019, offers a panoramic view of the lakeside, which is a paradise for wild birds.

You can see the Pacific Ocean from the observation deck in Hidaka and enjoy a wide view of Hokkaido.

Arrives Nijukkendoro

Nijukkendoro is a straight road stretching about 7 km where cherry blossoms are in full bloom. It is so called because the distance between the trees on one side and those on the other is exactly 20 ken (approximately 36 meters). 70% of the flowers which bloom here are sargent cherries, and you can also see Kasumizakura (or Prunus verecunda) and Miyamazakura (or Prunus maximowiczii).
